Save Office 2007 Document As PDF With "SaveAsPDF Plugin"

Sometimes we may need to save our word document has pdf file in that time we can use Save As PDF file option which is available in office 2007 itself instead of using any extra software or any online converter to do that task.

To add Save As PDF option to Office 2007:

1. To add Save As PDF option to our Office 2007 software we need to download a small Plugin called SaveAsPDFandXPS form Microsoft site and install it on our computer.
2. After installing that small Plugin, open any Office 2007 products such as Microsoft Office Access 2007, Microsoft Office Excel 2007, Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, Microsoft Office OneNote 2007,Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007,Microsoft Office Publisher 2007, Microsoft Office Visio 2007 and Microsoft Office Word 2007
3. You will see Save As PDF option in it. Enjoy converting or Saving Word document as PDF file.

Offline Gmail For Google Chrome Browser:

Using Gmail in Offline is one of the most useful features which is needed for many users who daily use Gmail. Now Google has launched a Gmail App for accessing gmail in offline or using gmail without internet connection. The app is available only for google chrome browser right now and it named as “Offline Google Mail” .

How to use this Gmail offline app to access gmail in offline?

1. To use this gmail offline app first you need to have google chrome browser.
2. After installing chrome browser visit Offline Google Mail app page and install it for chrome browser
3. After installing google mail app it will ask you to sign in to your gmail account, once you sign-in it automatically synchronize messages with your gmail account.

That’s it. Now your emails can be opened in offline/without internet connection and you can perform most of  the actions which you perform in gmail like sending mails, viewing mail, deleting mail etc.

For example if you typed the mail and send the mail in offline mode it won’t goes on that instance itself (because no internet connection is available) your mail will automatically sent when the internet connection is available.

The design of the offline google app is so nice and you will defiantly enjoy the interface (used HTML5) and it is so fast.

Windows 8 Developer Preview

I tried windows 8, after trying what I feel is-windows 8 got major changes when we compare with other OS. Booting screen got green look, installation of windows 8 takes only few minutes and it install very fast, it got some major changes in design as well.

Your computer isn’t running at the same speed it was when you got it new because a lot of changes have happened between that space of time and now. The more applications, files and folders and even the new documents you create everyday have their impact in making your computer running slow. Following are some ways to quickly recover the normal speed of your computer.

Remove Spyware and Protect your Computer against Viruses

The first thing you should diagnose your slow computer for is virus infection. Viruses can come into your computer so far there is a contact between your computer and other computers – this can also be through the internet.

To battle virus infection, you must have a reliable antivirus program installed on your computer. This antivirus program must be kept up to date, regularly. The most important thing in having an antivirus program is keeping it updated regularly. With my computer which I use for my blog that talks about discounts for weight watchers and bistro md coupon, I have made it a point of duty to see that my antivirus program is of the latest version and I don’t miss an update.

Make access to data easy for your computer

When accessing data on your computer’s hard disk becomes difficult for your system it will result in your computer performing slow. The data on your computer’s hard drive may become cluttered and result in causing your computer to become slow in performance.

In essence, your data are getting cluttered because your hard disk is fragmenting them. To make accessing data on your computer’s hard drive easy for your computer you’ll have to run disk defragmenter on your system regularly. If you use your computer every day, you should defragment your hard disk once every week.

Free up disk space

Another thing you should do to make your computer perform faster is to free up disk space. Over time, you must have saved a lot of files on your hard drive and if you do not remove the ones that are no-longer useful to you, your system will continue to perform slowly.

Start sorting out the important files on your computer from the files you no longer need. Keep you important documents in specified folders to save them from mixing up with old and unused files so that you can easily remove the ones you no longer need from your computer.

Clear up Temporary Internet Files

Temporary internet files are, perhaps, the major elements that contribute to your computer being slow in performance. Clear the temporary internet files your web browsers must have saved on your computer’s hard disk to save more disk space.

You can also limit the amount of your hard disk space your cache will be using to a very minimal amount. This will eradicate every possibility of your temporary internet files taking up too much of your hard disk space. As you can see in the image below, I limit the amount of space my internet cache will be using to 1024MB or 1gb which is still far from the 175MB my cache has used.

Check if an Email Address is Valid or Not

Spam filters of popular email services like Gmail,Yahoo are very efficient and they keep a lot of junk emails out of your inbox.Still there are some sophiscated techniques available using which hackers bypass these spam filters.Emails are the prominent method used in phishing scams.

There are various free online services that allows you to send anonymous emails.Hackers can effortlessly create their own Anonymous Email service by simply uploading email PHP script to their servers.If you receive a suspicious email you can check whether that email id exists or it is fake.

Email address Checker is a free third party service. This checking tool connects to the mail server and checks whether the email exists. For valid email addresses, you can view additional intelligence including pictures, blog and local searches.

How to verify an Email Address is Valid or Not:-

• Just go to the Email address Checker website.
• In the Email Address field give the email address which you want to verify and click on check button.
• In the lower field you will see your result. In this example I had given two email address as you can see there will be a Tick Mark sign which is valid address and there will be a cross sign which is invalid email address.

• For more information about the Email address click on the info button.

The only limitation of this tool is that you can only check three Email ID’s from one IP Address in a day.

Schedule Facebook/Twitter Status Updates

Later Bro is an application using which you can schedule your Facebook and Twitter updates.It has URL shortner which can be used to shorten links in status if your status exceeds permitted word limit .You can also schedule recurring updates.The only limitation is that your status update cannot be more then 140 words although actually facebook supports 420 characters.

Trick to Schedule your Facebook Status and Twitter Tweets:-

• Open Later Bro application by clicking here.
• Now select any social network (Facebook/Twitter) in which you want to update status.

• Let’s choose Facebook for this time so click on it.
• Login to your account and click Allow button in Permission and Requests popup window.
• Now select the TimeZone and click on Next button.

• In the Text Field type your status that you want to update and select Date and Time when you want to update this status.
• Do check mark on the Facebook box and click on Schedule button.

Your status will automatically update on scheduled time.

Automatically Delete Email Once it’s Get Read

Sometimes there is some private information that you might be sending to your friend.If you fear that your friend may forward (leak) it to others you can send him a self destructive email.Its content will automatically get deleted once it is read.Another great feature of this trick that you will also get notifications once your email is read.

Trick to Automatically Delete Mail Once it Got Read:-

• First of all go to website www.privnote.com.
• In the text field type your message that you want to send to your friend.
• After writing your message, do check mark on “Notify me when this note gets read“ box. Give your Email address and Reference Name where you want to get notify. The notifications email will be delivered in your Inbox folder or Spamfolder.
• Click on Create Note button.

• Now a link will be generated.

• Copy/Paste this link in into your Email text field and send it to your friend instead of writing the text there.
• Now when your friend will click on this link he will read your note.Once the note is read it will automatically get destroyed.If your friend try to open that note again he/she will get a message saying This note was read before.

That’s it. The only limitation of this trick is this you cannot write your text directly in the mail text field but you have to paste link of the note

How to Enable Timeline Feature on Facebook

After the launch of Google+ Facebook has escalated its efforts to retain the interest of user’s by introducing new interfaces and features.Earlier they changed the facebookchat sidebar, introduced video calling and now its time for new feature called Timeline.Currently it is only available for facebook developers but you can also enable it on your profile.

Earlier if you have to search for any old facebook status you have to rely on third party applications like Social Searching but with Timeline you can easily search any status even if dates back to moths or year’s.What’s  more impressive Timeline is that you can set a cover page for your profile.

How to Enable Timeline Feature on Facebook:-

• Login in to your Facebook Account.
• In the search box type “Developers” and click on the first suggestion which isDeveloper App.

• If you haven’t enabled developer mode then it will request for your permission.Click on Allow button to grant permissions.

• Now you will be redirected to facebook application page , click on the Create New App. at right top.
• In newly opened window give any App Display and Namespace Name,check mark in I agree box and then click on Continue button.

• In the next step it will ask you to enter Captcha code and after it click on Submitbutton.
• Now a page will show all your details, let them remain unchanged and click onSave Changes button.
• In the left panel look for the Open Graph option and click on it.

• Now in the Open Graph: Getting Started page fill anything that you like and click on Get Started button. See the screenshot below:-

• Now in the configuration page change your Name and click on Save changes and Next button.
• Again click on Save changes and Next button and then on Save and Finishbutton without doing any changes in it.
• Now click on the Submit button.

• In the pop up window type whatever you want in the Usage Instruction field and then click on Submit for Approval button.
• Now wait for 1-2 minutes and go to your facebook Homepage.
• Here you will see a Timeline application and click on the Get it Now button.

• Click on the Start Tour button that will show you how the things will work in it and then on Publish Now button.

• After enabling Timeline your Facebook Profile page will be shown like this.

This feature is only launched for developers.So your new profile will not be visible to all but only to developers.The timeline feature is expected to be launched on 29, September 2011 for everyone.
